Been a while since i heard good music come out of Nigeria/Nigerian Blood,
don't get me wrong i like Psquare (especially that new song, no one be like you), Dbanj ever shouts and never sings, and Tuface is cool but seriously when are we going to get real musicians come out of Nigeria again, i am talking about the likes of Fela, King Sunny Ade and co............if you were born in the eighties or before you will understand what i am saying.

See i grew up listening to Music from these folks, i remember my Dad's turntable (it aint even cds) playing every a.m, i woke up to the sounds of Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, Sam Cook, Fela Kuti, KSA , Obey and so on. That is music, not that noisy YAHOOZZEE......did i hear you say "he didn't just diss Olu Maintain", this is no 'diss', it's just that when i have my kids, i want to be able to introduce them to good music from the motherland and i seriously wouldn't want them shouting YAHOO YAHOOZZEE

However, hope is not lost and i still have faith in that part of motherland(Nigeria), i was introduced to the music of a lady called ASA pronouced ASHA, i was like well, let me listen whilst thinking i hope this isn't going to be another rapper wannabe.....so i listened and i am still listening and i will listen tomorrow in my car, and when i get back home i will listen again and again

This woman is soooo good, i am so proud she is from Nigeria, she has that Tracy Chapman, India Arie meets Amy Winehouse kinda vibe (If you know about music, you will understand what i am saying), i especially like the yoruba titled songs, so if you have a minute, why don't you treat yourself to some good music(the kinda music i will be passing on to lil eniola).
