I saw

I saw it before it got here,
the cuddles, hugs and kisses,
sweet talks over the phone,
as the moon transforms into the sun,
daylight creeping in,
overcoming the darkness

I saw the drink before you poured it,
the liquid caressing the inside of our champagne glasses,
arousing the intimate thoughts,
yearning to burst through the cages,
threatening to overwhelm us,
clearing the boundaries

I saw it before it got here,
the candles, the sweet sound of sade,
the hot oil rub, the intense heat
moans escaping your lips,
satisfaction from mine,
entwined beyond bliss

I saw the door before you walked through it,
the resounding sound of the slam lingers,
quivering soul, beat less heart
endless days, long nights,
wondering, wishing,
your smile will brighten the darkness

I saw you today,
rolled out of bed, kiss on the cheek,
sparkle in my face, smile on yours,
shinning rock on that finger,
I saw the sun shine like never before,
I saw my life in you.

Am I changing before your eyes,
Becoming someone you do not recognise,
See I am going from fitting in to standing out,
And all you do is just sit and shout...

Really that is all you can do,
For when I reached out, what did you do?
No pointers on the point and shoot,
Now you holla, that's my boy, he can shoot.

I put the practice in,
Time is expensive but I got the buy in,
Nothing compares to a ragging passion,
So when you see me, maybe don't holla...pass on.

But I am not that one,
In this race, everybody wants to be that one,
So I do my best to bring out the best in that one,
Only then will I become the one.
